So what is Ideas Week exactly? Ideas Week is dedicated to promoting new, innovative ideas, organizations, and companies in Corpus Christi. Ideas Week Events will be an opportunity to share ideas, solve problems, and find out about the great things happening in our community. Voice your ideas and turn on your creativity!

Mix and mingle with both young and established leaders in the community at this luncheon sponsored by American Bank. Hear from a panel of local established leaders as they speak about their experiences and being actively involved in our community and making a positive difference. This year panel will feature:
Mr. Mike Culbertson, Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation
Dr. Mark Escamilla, Del Mar College
Dr. Flavius Killebrew, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Ms. Annette Medlin, Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce

The panel will be moderated by American Bank’s own, Trey McCampbell, Chief Administrative Officer of American Bank.

Join the Young Business Professionals of the Coastal Bend as we welcome the newest addition to the Uptown skyline, the RTA Building! Come get a behind-the-scenes look at the facility hosted by the Regional Transport Authority, and stay for Nick Gignac of Gignac Architects speaking on “Design, Construction, and Economic Development,” and discover how architecture can spur smart growth.

Wednesday, April 6th

Lunch and Learn at the Corpus Christi Bay Area Medical Center where you will learn about the technological advancements and the direction of the medical field. You’ll take a 45-minute hands-on tour of the Hospital, seeing some of its most cutting edge equipment. Then you’ll be treated to lunch and a questionnaire period for anyone to ask the industry experts about the growth of healthcare services in the area and what it means for young professionals.

Are you interested in being your own boss? Would you like to make your own work hours? Come join the Young Business Professionals of the Coastal Bend to learn about the basics of opening and running a business.

You will have an opportunity to receive great info on free resources to the public to help start your business. We will also have an entrepreneur talk about their story and experience.

Meet the program experts at the Texas State Aquarium and see research in action as you explore a few of the conservation projects the Aquarium undertakes and supports during this stimulating behind the scenes tour. From growing and restoring coral reefs to tracking sharks in the Gulf of Mexico, this unique tour will showcase the valuable work being done within our own Coastal Bend environment and beyond.

Have you ever wondered what to wear to an interview? Have you ever wondered what to pair with that special dress for the next networking event? What does “black tie” refer to on the invitation for a business gala dinner?

Join us for a fashion show featuring outfits that answer these questions and more. See some local professionals work the runway in great examples of business wear.

Bring a gently used business outfit to donate to Dress For Success or make a donation, and receive a ticket for a raffle drawing. Food provided by our friends at Gaslight Square!

Spend an evening in the brand new Science Center at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History: slide down the new Double Helix DNA model, make music on the piano stairway and discover more about science in one Night at the Museum than you ever thought possible.

The $3 million dollar Science Center flows from micro to macro with hands-on, larger than life exhibits that include: Chemistry, Particles, Cells, DNA, Engineering, Math, Physics, Space, a Planetarium and Paleontology plus other fun surprises to discover. The center is meant to inspire and educate all ages in the sciences through its visually exciting and highly interactive exhibits.
